Where do I get some test funds?

You find a step-by-step guide here: Step 2 - Get test funds

My MetaMask isn't connecting.

Option 1

Did you use MetaMask when trying out our previous version of the testnet? In that case, try to delete the Botanix Testnet from MetaMask and add it again by visiting our .

Here you find how to remove a network from MetaMask:

Option 2

Do you have any other wallets installed? Try to uninstall them and use only MetaMask or Rabby

The gas fee seems to be pretty high

As there are not a lot of transactions yet, MetaMask is struggling to estimate the gas fees. Lower the gas fees manually by a factor 100 (to +- $0,02) and your transactions will still go through.

Here are the instruction for MetaMask:

I don't manage to authorize with Brave Wallet. Why not?

Make sure that Brave Wallet is set as your default wallet, otherwise you might run into problems. Once you've done that, clear your cache and try again.

Why does it say Testnet V1?

As the name might suggest, we had another testnet active, called V0. V0 was basically our Minimum Viable Product (MVP) to showcase the possibilities of an EVM compatible network on top of Bitcoin. At this point, it was a single node running. After launching testnet V0, significant changes and updates have been made to our code base. By launching a testnet that contains these changes (V1), we aim to battle test this version before launching our mainnet. V1 resembles the product that we will launch to mainnet after gathering feedback.
